We are seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to lead mine geology activities and drive technical excellence across our operation.

This is a key leadership role responsible for optimising ore recovery, minimising dilution, and delivering strong commercial outcomes aligned with corporate objectives.

About the Role:

As Senior Geologist, you will oversee all aspects of mine geology, grade control, and geological reconciliation, while mentoring and developing a high-performing geology team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead grade control, ore production and reconciliation standards (hands-on) in collaboration with technical stakeholders
  • Provide geological input into Life of Mine planning
  • Supervise ore mining and grade control to optimise extraction, minimise dilution and maximise recovery
  • Analyse and report on mining, drilling and grade data (daily–monthly)
  • Develop and deliver technical training to uplift team capability
  • Support geological budgeting, cost control and performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage contractors, procurement and ensure compliance with contracts and invoicing
  • Contribute to safety systems, risk registers and continuous improvement
  • Lead, mentor and develop geology team and contractors, including performance management
  • Ensure workforce competency, safe work practices and training compliance
  • Support emergency response readiness and maintain geological standards and procedures


About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology (or related discipline)
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar leadership role
  • Proficiency in Surpac and Leapfrog
  • Solid understanding of WA mining WHS legislation
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Membership with AIG or AusIMM
  • Budgeting and cost management experience

Desirable:

  • Resource estimation experience
  • Exposure to Supervisor and GCX systems
  • Senior First Aid or Mental Health First Aid
